English Grammar Present Simple Verb Tense - Positive Sentences
The present simple tense is used for regular actions:
- Actions that happen all the time.
- -s or -es is added to the end of the base verb for he/she/it & singular subjects.
- I go to school.
- We walk to work.
- You drive to the store.
- My mother works hard.
- The children like the beach.
- It = 3rd person singular - dog, girl, house, book city etc.
- They = 3rd person plural - dogs, girls, house, city etc..
