- Tied Up - I am going to be tied up on Friday.
- Prior Engagement - I can not work next week. I have a prior engagement.
- Swamped - We have been swamped at work. I did not even have time to eat lunch.
- Overloaded - The phone lines were overloaded, because of the earthquake. Everyone was trying to call at the same time.
- Buried - I am buried with work. I have so many exams that I need to check, so I can give them back to the students.
- Snowed Under - We have a new baby in the house, and we are totally snowed under. We do not even have a minute to breath.
- Absorbed - We are absorbed with our plans to go to Europe.We have a lot of planning to do, and we have to decide where to go and what to do.
- Overwhelmed - I am getting married next week, and I am just overwhelmed with everything I need to do before the wedding.
- Immersed In - My father is immersed in his job. He is the head of the company.
