Off & OutOff - to remove something from the surface.
- Get off the sofa please.
- I need to get off the bus.
- The girls are going to take the books off the table.
- I need to pick up the stuff off the floor.
Out - to move something or someone from inside to the outside
- We have to go out to the store.
- They want to go out of the house.
- We will take the food out of the oven.
- The girls will take the food out of the bags.
Tip: If you can say something or someone is “in” something, then you can use “out”.
